The primary focus is on the integration of laser technology into periodontal therapy and dental implant procedures, and the investigation of the efficacy, safety, and patient outcomes associated with laser use in these specialized areas. The scope encompasses a broad range of topics, including, not limited to laser-assisted non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontitis, periodontal regeneration, laser-assisted periodontal plastic surgery, management of peri-implantitis, soft tissue management. Additionally, it will cover advancements in laser technology, bacteriological and clinical comparative studies by using traditional methods, the development of new laser techniques and protocols. The purpose of this Special Issue is to provide a comprehensive overview of current research trends, clinical practices, and future directions of the laser application in periodontology and implantology. By bringing together cutting-edge research and expert insights, this issue aims to provide guidance to clinicians and researchers, with an attempt to improve patient care and advance the field.
